Chantelle feels that she was born a hairdresser. Her passion for hairdressing began at a young age and extended into extensive involvement with development for Matrix and Tressa. Chantelle finds endless inspiration in creating and conceiving new looks. Her distinctive approach combines decades of precise technical training with an inspired artistic vision. She believes that her craft is a transformation of each individual’s inner beauty. She has an art of extending that beauty into modern looks.
Chantelle chose to channel her intense creativity into styling for photo shoots. Her expertise and creative intellect quickly got her work published in magazines Modern Salon, Hair Color & Design, Process and Inspire. She has also created innovative looks for Glamour, Allure, Seventeen, JCPenny InSalon and Matrix News and Tressa News. She has helped create looks for Fall Fashion Week 2004, Imitation of Christ, as well as Cosmopolitan’s 40th Birthday Bash. In the ever-expanding reach of her talent, Chantelle has been a trend consultant for Matrix and currently for Tressa.
Her impressive value of her professionalism, artistry and devotion to her craft has become inspiration for websites. Chantelle was featured on www.behindthechair.com giving Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) styling tips and www.fanout.com values her opinion in her choice of using their tools. Again, www.behindthechair.com featured avant-guard pieces Chantelle created for Nicholas French for Chicago’s Alternative Hair show 2002, 2003 and 2004. Chantelle has also been featured on www.matrix.com website under their “spot light” section. Chantelle travels continuously facilitating to other stylists across North America at shows and private classes.
Her artistic contributions are matched in time and talent only by her contributions to the charity of Locks for Love in doing a makeover segment on Oprah. Her individuality and ever-evolving vision keeps her busy behind the scenes and in front of the camera.
